At least three large-scale studies reported in the American Journal of Dermatology found a link between drinking milk and acne. NaturalNews reported about a study that found those who drank two or three glasses of milk a day had 44% higher chance of developing severe acne.

According to the research of the Dr. Guy Websterthere is a positive association between intake of skim milk and acne found. This finding suggests that skim milk contains hormonal constituents, or factors that influence endogenous hormones, in sufficient quantities to have biological effects in consumers.

After reviewing studies on chocolate’s effects on the skin, researchers at the University of Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia, concluded, in a report published in the Journal of Family Practice in 2005, that there is no evidence that it triggers blemishes. New science suggests that there is a connection between your diet and your complexion. The potential acne-causing ingredient isn’t cocoa, however. The problem is sugar and other high-glycemic foods that the body burns fast. And dark chocolate is actually a low-glycemic food.
